1. About Us and Big Ticket
1.1. Big Ticket, comprising such raffle draws specified on our site (“Big Ticket Draws”), is organised and managed solely by The Big Ticket LLC, a limited liability company incorporated in accordance with the laws of, and with a registered office in, the Abu Dhabi Airport Free Zone and whose commercial licence number is ADAFZ00444 ("we", “us” or “our”). We are the official operator for the Big Ticket Draws in the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) and the operator of the website www.bigticket.ae (the “Site”).
1.2 We use the terms “you” and “your” to mean any person accessing or using the Site, purchasing a ticket for one of our Big Ticket Draws (either via our Site or in store at one of our ticket counters), or otherwise interacting with us in connection with our Big Ticket Draws.
2. About this Policy
2.1. The purpose of this privacy policy (the “Policy”) is to provide you with information about how we collect, generate, and process personal data (“Personal Data”), and about the cookies which are used, in connection with our Big Ticket Draws and our Site. This Policy should be read in conjunction with the Big Ticket Terms and Conditions available at https://bigticket.ae/terms-and-condition (the “Big Ticket Terms”).
2.2 This Policy was written in English. To the extent any translated version of this Policy conflicts with the English version, the English version prevails.
3. What is Personal Data?
3.1. Personal Data refers to any information from which it is practicable for the identity of an individual to be ascertained.
4. The types of Personal Data we collect
4.1. To participate in one of our Big Ticket Draws, you must purchase a ticket either via our Site or in store at one of our ticket counters. To purchase a ticket online via our site, you must have a registered account (“online account”) with us. For in store purchases, you do not need an online account. However, if you do not have an online account with us, we will assign you a customer ID. This customer ID will be linked with any online account you subsequently create with us.
4.2 In any case, we may collect and process Personal Data:
that you provide when you register for an online account with us. This includes your full name, email address, telephone number, address, date of birth, passport and/or Emirates ID number and expiration date, and nationality;
that you provide when you purchase a ticket in-store at one of our ticket counters. This includes your full name, telephone number, email address (should you choose to provide it), address, date of birth, passport and/or Emirates ID number and expiration date, and nationality;
that you provide when you contact us via our Customer Support team, either by email or telephone. This includes any information that you choose to share with us which may be considered Personal Data;
that you provide when you otherwise interact with us (e.g. respond to a survey). This includes any information that you choose to share with us which may be considered Personal Data;
using cookies and other automatic data collection technologies through the Site. For more information on the cookies used by us, please see section 12 on “Cookies” below; and
from social media platforms and networks if you interact with us on social media or use features (such as plugins, widgets, or other tools made available by social media platforms or networks) in connection with the Site or a Big Ticket Draw. For more information about the privacy practices of those social media platforms, please review the privacy policies and settings of the social media platforms and networks that you use.
4.3. If you are a winner of one of our Big Ticket Draws, we may collect and process Personal Data:
that you provide so that we can validate your winning ticket and verify your age, identity and/or eligibility. This could include proof of your identity and residential address;
that you provide so that we can pay a cash prize to you. This includes your bank account details;
that you provide when participating in any publicity, public relations, marketing or promotional activities in connection with your win. This includes any information that you choose to share with us which may be considered Personal Data; and
that we obtain from other sources. For instance, we may need to verify your eligibility to receive a prize by obtaining Personal Data from fraud prevention service providers, screening providers, other vendors that provide services on our behalf, and publicly available sources.
4.4. We may also create information based on our analysis of the information we have collected from you.
5. Personal Data relating to minors
5.1. Protecting the safety and privacy of children is very important to us. In accordance with the Big Ticket Terms, all entrants to our Big Ticket Draws must be over the age of 18. Therefore, we do not specifically request, nor should you provide, the Personal Data of minors in accordance with local legislation in force in connection with our Big Ticket Draws.
6. How we use your Personal Data and our legal basis for doing so
6.1. By registering for an online account or purchasing a ticket, your Personal Data may be stored and processed by us to:
enable you to create an online account;
enable you to purchase a ticket for a Big Ticket Draw;
assign you a customer ID (if you purchase a ticket in store at one of our ticket counters and have not registered for an online account);
respond to any requests when you contact us via our Customer Support team; or
send you information on our offers, latest news and/or events, unless you have opted-out from receiving such messages.
6.2. If you are a winner of a Big Ticket Draw, your Personal Data may be stored and processed by us to:
validate your winning ticket and verify your age, identity and/or eligibility to receive a prize;
enable us to pay any cash prize to you;
publish your win on the Site and in different media; and
feature you in any publicity, public relations, marketing or promotional activities in connection with your win.
6.3. In all cases, if you are a visitor to the Site, your Personal Data may be stored and processed by us in the following ways and for the following purposes:
for ongoing review and improvement of the Site to ensure it is user friendly and to prevent any potential disruptions or cyber-attacks;
to allow you to use and access the functionality provided by the Site;
for the management and administration of our business and the Big Ticket Draws;
for statistical monitoring and analysis of current attacks on devices and systems and for the ongoing adaptation of the solutions provided to secure devices and systems against current attacks;
to administer and protect our business, the Site, and the Big Ticket Draws, including system maintenance, support, reporting and hosting of data, detection of intellectual property infringement or misuse of the Site;
for in-depth threat analysis; and
in order to comply with, and in order to assess compliance with, applicable laws, rules and regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
6.4. Whenever we use Personal Data, we make sure that our usage complies with applicable laws. In particular, your Personal Data may be:
collected based on your consent;
required so that you can participate in a Big Ticket Draw in accordance with the Big Ticket Terms;
required to fulfil or comply with legal or regulatory requirements to which we are subject;
necessary for the performance of the contract incorporating the Big Ticket Terms; or
otherwise necessary for the purposes of our legitimate business interests, such as allowing us to effectively and efficiently manage and administer the operation of our Site and the Big Ticket Draws.
6.5. Although you are not obliged to share any information we request, providing certain details may be important to ensure your participation in a Big Ticket Draw and to confirm your eligibility to receive a prize without delay. In some cases, we may also need this information to meet legal requirements, verify your identity, or confirm prize eligibility.
7. Disclosure of your Personal Data to third parties
7.1. We may share your Personal Data within our group of companies for the purposes described above. We will take steps to ensure that access to Personal Data is restricted to employees who have a legitimate interest in the purposes described in this Policy.
7.2. We may also share your Personal Data:
with agents, contractors, third party service providers (such as those providing compliance, administrative, communications, marketing, computer services and other services in connection with the managing, processing and storage of your Personal Data and/or the operation of our business or the Big Ticket Draws). These third parties will be subject to appropriate data protection obligations;
if we sell our business or assets, in which case we may need to disclose your Personal Data to the prospective buyer for due diligence purposes;
if required by applicable law, for example if we are under a duty to disclose your Personal Data in order to comply with any legal obligation (including, without limitation, in order to comply with a court order, subpoena or other legal process); or
in response to a request by a government authority, law enforcement agency or similar body (whether situated in your jurisdiction or elsewhere).
8. International transfers of Personal Data
8.1. We are a global business and work with service providers located abroad. As a result, you acknowledge and agree that we may transfer your Personal Data to locations outside of the UAE or the country from which you access the Site.
8.2. Where we transfer Personal Data internationally, we will ensure that it is protected and transferred in a manner consistent with applicable legal requirements.
9. How we safeguard your Personal Data
9.1. We will take all reasonable and practicable steps to keep your Personal Data secure and confidential.
10. How long we keep your Personal Data
10.1. How long we will hold your Personal Data for will vary and will be determined by the following cumulative criteria:
the purpose for which we are using it – we will need to keep your Personal Data for as long as is necessary for that purpose; and
legal obligations – applicable laws or regulations may set a minimum period for which we have to keep your Personal Data.
10.2. In any case, your Personal Data will not be kept in a form that allows you to be identified for any longer than is reasonably considered necessary by us in accordance with the criteria in section 10.1.
11. Your rights
11.1. In all the above cases in which we collect, use or store your Personal Data, you may have the following rights which you can exercise free of charge. These rights include:
Withdrawal of consent: You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your Personal Data at any time. Please note, however, that withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing before its withdrawal and we may still be entitled to process your Personal Data if we have another legitimate reason for doing so. For example, we may need to retain your Personal Data to comply with a legal obligation.
Access: You can ask us to confirm whether we process your Personal Data and obtain information regarding the processing of your Personal Data.
Erasure: You can ask us to erase your Personal Data in certain circumstances. Please note that there may be circumstances where you ask us to erase your Personal Data but we are legally required or entitled to retain it. For example, we may need to retain your Personal Data to comply with a legal obligation or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Correction: You can ask us to rectify or complete inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
Restriction: You can object to, or request that we restrict, our processing of your Personal Data in certain circumstances, including in respect of direct marketing. Again, there may be circumstances where you object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing of your Personal Data but We are legally entitled to refuse that request.
Transfer: In some circumstances, you have the right to receive your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

12. Cookies
12.1. Our Site uses cookies. Cookies are small text files which are likely to be stored in a dedicated space on your device when you have browsed the Site.
12.2. In particular, we use cookies that are “strictly necessary” for the functionality of the Site. These cookies record information necessary for the proper functioning of the Site and are essential to enable users to visit the Site and fulfil express requests from a user (e.g., cookies that temporarily store the contents of an online form). A deactivation of this type of cookies would reduce all or part of the functions of the Site. We may also use targeting and advertising cookies to better customize advertisements to your interests.
13. Changes to this Policy
13.1. We may update this Policy from time to time. Should we do so, the new terms will become effective from the moment they are uploaded onto the Site. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you of any material changes to this Policy. However, you should check the Policy when you visit the Site to confirm the most recent Policy that applies.
